New ‘Les Mis’ Image ft. Enjolras

December 6, 2012 • Category: Film News, Gallery, Les Misérables 1

So, here’s something interesting. The Les Misérables official site has been thoroughly updated, now including biographies for crew and the main eight actors — with one blank spot. Fitting for Enjolras, right? A poster on IMDb shared various background images for each cast member used on the revamped website, including the above image featuring Aaron Tveit as the fearless student leader. Hopefully this means we can expect an additional biography to round out the main nine Les Mis cast members, this time (finally) shining a light on Aaron.

Weekend Poll: Which Actor Are You Most Excited to See in ‘Les Mis’?

December 1, 2012 • Category: Les Misérables 0 is hosting a weekend poll, asking visitors “which Les Misérables movie performance are you most excited to see?” The options offer up the entire main cast, including Hugh Jackman (Jean Valjean), Russell Crowe (Javert), Anne Hathaway (Fantine), Amanda Seyfried (Cosette), Samantha Barks (Eponine), Helena Bonham Carter (Mme. Thenardier), Sacha Baron Cohen (Thenardier), and… Aaron Tveit as Enjolras. ATF strongly encourages checking out the poll and voting for who you’re most excited to see in the film — who is Aaron, of course, right?

‘Les Mis’ Film Still features Aaron Tveit with Les Amis de l’ABC

This has to be one of my favorite film stills released from Les Misérables so far, with Les Amis de l’ABC featured inside Café Musain. It’s nice to see the “barricade boys” finally get some publicity attention, plus it’s great to get the first look inside the iconic cafe. Along with Eddie Redmayne, Aaron Tveit is pictured with George Blagden, who plays Grantaire in the movie adaptation of the musical.

Edit: I’ve added five additional stills, courtesy of hope72. (Thanks again!)

Four New ‘Les Mis’ Film Stills Added

November 20, 2012 • Category: Film News, Gallery, Les Misérables 0

While scouring the web for some new Les Misérables content, I ran across these amazing film stills featuring Aaron Tveit (and the barricade boys). As far as I know, these haven’t been shared widespread at all, so I hope many of you are seeing them for the first time and that you enjoy the newest insight into the upcoming film.

Barricade Boys Featured in ‘Les Mis’ Still

Universal Spain’s official Twitter has revealed another film still from Les Misérables, this time featuring numerous barricade boys. Like the previously released still, this one is also from an earlier magazine (Entertainment Weekly), but now we have a full, non-scanned version. Once again, Aaron Tveit and Eddie Redmayne are shown together, leading the band of student revolutionaries during the rousing Les Mis flagship song, “Do You Hear the People Sing?”

A variation of this photograph was shown in an Empire article on Les Misérables a couple of months back, but the scan was overly contrasted and cut-off. Now, here’s a better version of the same film still featuring Aaron Tveit as Enjolras and Eddie Redmayne as Marius. Unfortunately, it’s rather small, but hopefully it’ll be released in HQ soon. I wonder when Universal will give Aaron some promo love, anyway…

New ‘Les Misérables’ International Trailer

November 8, 2012 • Category: Film News, Les Misérables 0

A new, international trailer for Les Misérables has been released — and Aaron Tveit is featured in it! This one is much more of a medley, showcasing numerous songs from the musical, including “Castle on a Cloud,” “I Dreamed a Dream,” “One Day More,” and “Do You Hear the People Sing?” Although we don’t get to explicitly hear Aaron sing anything, he does get a line of inspiring dialogue and shots from throughout the film. Very exciting. Hopefully we’ll get a U.S. theatrical trailer soon (rumor has it that it may come next week).

Yet another Les Misérables feature can be found in this week’s edition of Entertainment Weekly. Previously, there was talk about costume and set designs for the film; in this issue, the matter at hand is a little more serious. With quotes from Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, and director Tom Hooper, the article focuses heavily on the political inclination of Les Mis – both the novel and musical – and how important the story is even in today’s political climate (worldwide). It’s a great read, plus there’s some new shots from the film strewn throughout the pages.
