Earlier today, July 17th, Aaron Tveit stopped by the Empire State Building in Manhattan for a photo op. It’s not unusual for stars to use the New York skyline as their backdrop for photos: USA Network’s Matt Bomer has posed atop the iconic building before, as well as The Amazing Spider-Man cast and Seth Meyers of “Saturday Night Live.” (The most recent winner of “The Voice,” Danielle Bradbery, also had pictures taken today.) I’ve added numerous shots from the event to ATN’s gallery, including some HQs on page 4 and 5.
Yesterday (July 8th), Aaron Tveit and his “Graceland” co-star Daniel Sunjata appeared on “The Rachael Ray Show.” The pre-recorded program had them discussing their USA Network series – “Graceland,” of course – which included a lot of enthusiasm on Rachael’s part: she’s a big fan of cop dramas. I’m unable to embed the video, so click on the still image above to watch a three-minute clip from the segment in which Aaron talks about breaking down a gun and whether or not he’s a good roommate. (FYI: A lovely fan also posted the entire interview on YouTube.)
You may also want to check out the Backstage Pass portion of “The Rachael Ray Show.” Although short, Aaron and Daniel talk about their on-set eating habits, like go-to snacks (nuts) and what foods to avoid eating (pasta). Remember the durian fruit Johnny ate in an episode of “Graceland”? They also confirm that it smelled truly putrid.
Last night (June 25th), Aaron Tveit attended the 2013 Recording Academy Honors to pay tribute to Les Misérables creators, Alain Boublil, Herbert Kretzmer, and Claude-Michel Schönberg. Aaron introduced the three men behind the formation of the musical, while his onscreen co-star from the film adaptation, Samantha Barks (aka Eponine), performed at the event. A few images from the evening – including some nice shots of Aaron in a snazzy three-piece suit – have been added to the gallery.
Earlier this morning (June 24th), Aaron Tveit competed at the 3rd annual Bombers-Boomer-Broadway (BBB) charity event. The softball games – held at Yankee Stadium – pitted Broadway performers against one another to help raise money for The Actors Fund and the Boomer Esiason Foundation.
Aaron was part of the Broadway Bombers along with Constantine Maroulis, Jeremy Woodard, Charl Brown, Nick Jonas, and Kevin Jonas. Unfortunately, they lost against the Times Square Slammers with a total score of 19-6.
Over forty HQ pictures from the day have been added to the gallery; one of shows Aaron with Bombers teammate and Wicked‘s current Fiyero, Derek Klena, courtesy of Theater Mania. I also retweeted a couple over at @aarontveitnet.
Did you catch Aaron Tveit on “The TODAY Show” earlier this morning? He and co-star Daniel Sunjata were special guests on the program, there to talk about their USA series, “Graceland,” which debuts tomorrow evening. The interview is short and sweet, but they talk about the premise of the show and – at the end – show off their shooting skills using Nerf toy guns. Check out the video below; or, if you’re international, you may want to give YouTube a try.
Aaron Tveit attended the opening night for Good Television earlier this evening, June 4th, at the Atlantic Theater. Written by Rod McLachlan, and directed by Bob Krakower, the play “pulls back the curtain on modern television drama at its most extreme.” Afterwards, attendees gathered at Jake’s Saloon to celebrate the new off-Broadway play. A couple of pictures have been added to the gallery, with hopefully more to come.
Those lucky enough to attend one of the fifteen screenings of “Graceland” on Wednesday, May 29th, were also treated to a special Q&A with the cast. Although there isn’t any official video footage from the event, I’ve added several HQ photos from the panel that feature Aaron Tveit, Daniel Sunjata, Vanessa Ferlito, Serinda Swan, Brandon Jay McLaren, and Manny Montana. (For those who want to see the Q&A, you may want to try searching YouTube…)

In case you missed it, Aaron Tveit appeared on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” last night, May 29th. Hosted by Andy Cohen, Aaron was paired up with Ethan Hawk and entertained various questions – some a little racy, others about favorite planets – while having a drink or two. He also showed off his unique talent of clapping with one hand. You can check out some photos in the gallery along with various clips from the episode and after-show below.
How sweet it is! On May 17th, the cast of “Graceland” stopped by 54 Below to give their co-star, Aaron Tveit, a little love and support. Vanessa Ferlito, Serinda Swan, Daniel Sunjata, Brandon Jay McLaren, and Manny Montana were all in attendance — and, according to reports, seemed to really get into his live performance (like holding lighters in the air during Aaron’s cover of Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”). Pictures from the evening have been added to the gallery, with guest appearances by Jeremy Woodard and Cameron Adams.
Earlier today, May 16th, Aaron Tveit hit the blue carpet for the 2013 USA Network Upfronts. Held at Pier 36 in New York, he mingled with other USA stars – including Matt Bomer of Jeff Eastin’s other series, “White Collar” – and helped promote his upcoming show, “Graceland.” It was a warm day, but Aaron looked absolutely smashing in a burgundy suit. A few red carpet and after-party pictures have been added to the gallery, with hopefully more to come.
