Earlier this morning (June 24th), Aaron Tveit competed at the 3rd annual Bombers-Boomer-Broadway (BBB) charity event. The softball games – held at Yankee Stadium – pitted Broadway performers against one another to help raise money for The Actors Fund and the Boomer Esiason Foundation.

Aaron was part of the Broadway Bombers along with Constantine Maroulis, Jeremy Woodard, Charl Brown, Nick Jonas, and Kevin Jonas. Unfortunately, they lost against the Times Square Slammers with a total score of 19-6.

Over forty HQ pictures from the day have been added to the gallery; one of shows Aaron with Bombers teammate and Wicked‘s current Fiyero, Derek Klena, courtesy of Theater Mania. I also retweeted a couple over at @aarontveitnet.

On Thursday, the third episode of “Graceland” aired. If you happened to miss it because you were watching the NBA Finals – or if you just want to watch it again – you can check it out on Hulu. What did you think of this episode, entitled “Heat Run”? How do you feel about the Lauren situation? And how adorable is Jenn Proske, who plays Mike’s new love interest, Abby? Aaron Tveit was not featured in this episode as much as the first two, so there are less screen caps this week. Still, you can find 500 HD, logoless caps in the gallery.

Mr. Porter Tells Us Aaron Tveit is “One to Watch”

June 11, 2013 • Category: Articles & Interviews, Gallery, General News 0

Aaron Tveit looks great in a new photo shoot for Mr. Porter, shot by Billy Kidd, modeling clothing for a “relaxed, out-of-office” summer style. Accompanying the photos is a feature article, speaking of his jovial nature and status as the “one to watch,” which you can read an excerpt of below. In it, he talks about his stint at 54 Below and defends the directorial decisions for Les Misérables with stride. It’s worth a read, if you can peel yourself away from the pics!

He may cut a pensive figure, but don’t be fooled — a dark and troubled soul Mr. Aaron Tveit is not. “I don’t walk around scowling at people,” he laughs, defending the moody, monochrome results of last month’s shoot with photographer Mr. Billy Kidd. “I think I’m a nice guy!”

He’s certainly had time to practise. The 29-year-old actor, who cut his teeth on Broadway before branching out into TV and film, has the “nice guy” thing down to a fine art. Clean-cut, athletic, and immaculately coiffed, the born-and-bred New Yorker looks every bit the matinée idol and, as is clear within moments of meeting him, he’s got the charm and easygoing personality to match. So what’s with the frown?

“I had a great time on the shoot,” Mr. Tveit explains. “But he [Mr. Kidd] told me early on that he was looking for something more brooding, more atmospheric. From my point of view, it was a lot of fun to go in that direction because it’s definitely part of me, and something I don’t get to do a lot.”

“Graceland” Screen Caps: S1E01 – “Pilot”

June 7, 2013 • Category: Gallery, Graceland 0

Last night, the pilot episode of “Graceland” finally aired on USA Network! Did you watch? What did you think? In the series, Aaron Tveit plays rookie FBI Mike Warren who is assigned to Graceland in Malibu, a safe house with other FBI, DEA, and US Customs agents — and, judging by the opening episode’s cliffhanger, it seems like things are going to get tricky very, very soon. I’ve added over 1,100 HD screen caps from the pilot to the gallery; quite a lot, as this was an extended-length episode. Enjoy!

Glamour recently published a “Graceland” article in which we get a behind the scenes look on the production. If you head to the source, you can check out various pics of the cast, including Vanessa Ferlito removing makeup after a long day and Serinda Swan prepping for a scene by re-reading her lines. I’ve added the three photos of Aaron Tveit to the gallery, two of which feature him at a table read and another of him in the Graceland kitchen.

‘Good Television’ Off-Broadway Opening Night

Aaron Tveit attended the opening night for Good Television earlier this evening, June 4th, at the Atlantic Theater. Written by Rod McLachlan, and directed by Bob Krakower, the play “pulls back the curtain on modern television drama at its most extreme.” Afterwards, attendees gathered at Jake’s Saloon to celebrate the new off-Broadway play. A couple of pictures have been added to the gallery, with hopefully more to come.

“Graceland” Press Day Re-Cap

June 3, 2013 • Category: Gallery, General News, Graceland, Television News 0

Earlier this year, on February 21st, there was a “Graceland” press day held on set in South Florida. Finally, TV Equals has posted an account of what was discussed with co-stars Aaron Tveit and Daniel Sunjata. They’ve also shared some amazing pictures of the two cast members during the interview(s), along with a few on set shots of filming. Read an excerpt below before heading to the source for a more in-depth transcript:

Mike will get a romantic interest this season. Asked about the chance of romance for Mike in the first season, Tveit said: “I meet a girl; actually, it’s really nice. [Mike] is such an East Coast guy that being out on the West Coast and being in this situation is so not what he bargained for, and then [he] meets this beautiful girl, and she happens to be spending the summer out here, and she’s from the DC area, and we kind of bond over that. And then that gets very complicated too, because I really care for this girl, but then I literally have to lie to her all the time, and so it becomes a very straining thing too about that I want to be honest with this person, and I can’t be honest with this person.”
