We’ve had lessons on how to rock the Danny look, but now Broadway World has given us further advice on how to be a T-Bird. Unsurprisingly, it involves more leather jackets — specifically, ones custom decorated with T-Bird insignia, courtesy of costume designer William Ivey Long. Some insight is given on the style choices for Fox’s upcoming “Grease: Live,” including the decision to leave Aaron Tveit’s hair blonde – rather than John Travolta’s signature black greaser style in the 1978 film – as an homage to film legend, James Dean.

A new article on “Grease: Live” has appeared in TV Guide, focusing on what we can expect from the upcoming live event on Fox. The new adaptation will be shot on three different sets within the Warner Brothers lot in Burbank, CA — including an outdoor spade for the year-end carnival (an iconic scene in the movie-musical especially). Jetting from set to set on golf carts, the cast will also be equipped with social media tools (including GoPro cameras) to further connect to the audience live. Julianne Hough, playing Sandy, muses, “What world do we live in?!”

There’s some extra looks at Aaron Tveit in costume as Danny throughout, so comb your hair back and give the video a watch.

“Waxing Slick” with OUT Magazine

Aaron Tveit is featured in OUT Magazine, on a one-page spread that focuses primarily on Grease. There’s also a brief mention of his upcoming CBS television series, “BrainDead.” With a description being a “mix of ‘The West Wing’ and Invasion Of The Body Snatchers,” it’s easy to look forward to the new show!
