Aaron Tveit is no stranger to Stockings With Care, a non-profit organization and event that benefits families in need. He has been involved with the annual Celebrity Bartending event in the past — but this year, he has been announced as Host Committee for the fundraiser.

The 2016 Stockings With Benefit Gala will take place at Bowery Hotel Ballroom in New York on Thursday, November 3rd (from 7-10pm). Sullivan Stapleton, Jessica Hecht, and Rocco DiSpirito have also been announced as part of the host committee, alongside Aaron. Celebrity bartenders this year include Titus Burgess, Carrie Preston, Dean Winters, Geneva Carr, Murray Bartlett, and Jessica Pimentel; you can view the entire guest list at the invitation site. DJ Rosé will supply the music for a night of dancing, dining, and drinking, while an auction will be held to help raise funds for the charity.

Those interested in attending can purchase two different types of tickets: Elf or VIP Santa. Elf tickets cost $150 and include general admission, select libations, snacks, and access to the aforementioned celebrity bartenders. For $500, the VIP Santas will receive VIP room admission, a full open bar, premium snacks, a meet & greet with the celebrity bartenders, and first option on auction items. All guests must be 21 or over and are asked to dress in festive attire.

Stockings With Care (SWC) is an annual event that grants the holiday wishes of homeless families and those in assistance programs. Over 1,500 children were surprised with their own Christmas miracle last year, receiving gifts from individual donors (“Santas”), corporations, and volunteers who purchase and wrap donations based on actual wish lists. This year is SWC’s 25th anniversary; to date, over 50,000 children have benefitted from hard work and support to those in need. Casting director Rosalie Joseph and producer Tom Fontana are the founders.

If you can’t attend the Gala but would still like to help, please visit Stockings With Care’s official site and consider donating. If you’re in the NYC-area, you can also volunteer to be a “Santa.”
