Despite being a self-proclaimed “t-shirt and jeans kinda guy,” Aaron Tveit knows his fashion. Acknowledging that he admires classics and style staples like a leather jacket, he admits that he does occasionally enjoy dressing out of his comfort zone — an aspect he also applies to his wide-ranging role choices.
One previously out of the box sartorial selection he’s picked up from Brits during his time overseas? “Colorful socks,” he says. “How it worked with their trainers and pants and lots of other very small details. I’ve tried to take that from them.”
Enjoy a new photo shoot from Farfetch, and a brief interview in which Aaron talks about some of his go-to style choices and advice, including which two celebrities he admires in vastly different ways. You can read an excerpt below, then head to the source for the full editorial.
Having arrived at the shoot dressed in a beaten white tee, denim shorts, and classic Nike sneakers, Aaron is nonetheless more than game for dressing up in this season’s most fashion-forward coats. “I’m a t-shirt and jeans kinda guy. But I do like the opportunity to dress outside of my comfort zone.” And as he did, we managed to persuade him to share some of his own style secrets…
GO HELL FOR LEATHER
Aaron’s co-stars in “Grease: Live” are Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens, but there’s another reason he’s excited for the role: the amazing Fifties costumes. “I have a leather jacket that I bought in 2007 and still wear,” he enthuses. “That was my first big designer purchase.”
