Aaron Tveit is back in the game: on May 31st, he was at Central Park to play softball with team Rock of Ages. Unfortunately, there aren’t too many pictures from the day. On the plus side, however, RoA did defeat Death Of A Salesman/Once with the final score 2-7. Congratulations yet again!
It’s been a week full of trailers and insight into future projects featuring Aaron Tveit. Yesterday, a new trailer for Premium Rush – starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt – was released online. Yet again, there’s no look at Aaron in his role as Kyle, but the footage itself is action-packed and full of adrenaline from start to finish. Check it out before penciling the movie onto your schedule; it hits theaters August 24th.
The first teaser trailer for Les Miserables is now online! Anne Hathaway’s raw and haunting rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream” is overlaid on top of various scenes from the Tom Hooper-directed musical, with the trailer hinting towards gorgeous choreography and plenty of poignant moments. There isn’t much of Aaron Tveit as Enjolras other than a quick group shot, but fans won’t want to miss the first look at the film regardless. It looks positively amazing.
USA Network recently held their 2012 Upfronts, in which they talked about returning series and upcoming programming. Among the latter was “Graceland,” the pilot Aaron Tveit shot earlier this year, created and written by Jeff Eastin (of “White Collar” fame). “White Collar” co-stars Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay introduced the new series, which was then followed by a trailer.
You can catch the first look at “Graceland” around the 45:45 mark — and there’s a lot of Aaron! In fact, it looks like the series would largely focus on his character. No word yet on whether or not the show has officially been picked up by USA. Screen caps have been added to the gallery. (Many thanks to Kelly at Matt Bomer Fan for the video, which you can also watch here.)
Aaron took a break from Les Mis duties to fly back to New York and participate in the annual Broadway Show League! Although he isn’t performing on Broadway this season, he has joined the Rock of Ages team. (If you remember last year’s games, ROA competed against Catch Me If You Can for the title.) The game took place on Thursday, April 26th, with ROA scoring an impressive 18-3 win over Newsies. Photos from the event have been added to the gallery.
In case you aren’t aware, the BSL happens every year at Central Park. Numerous cast and crew from current Broadway productions join together over the summer season to play softball, which anyone can watch from the sidelines. If you’re interested in catching a game, check out the schedule at BSL’s official site and head over to Heckscher Ballfields for some ball. Aaron will be playing on Team Rock of Ages again starting in June.
ATF has a strict policy on not posting non-set related candids, but Aaron Tveit couldn’t be any more in character in these new pictures. This is our first look at Tom Hooper’s vision of Enjolras in the upcoming Les Miserables! Bearing a modified but no less impressive version of the iconic red waistcoat, he stands on (presumably) Lamarque’s hearse with revolutionary red flag in hand. At his side is Eddie Redmayne, playing Marius in the film. You can also some clips of the filming below:
Daniel Sunjata – Aaron Tveit’s co-star in the upcoming Jeff Eastin series, “Graceland” – tweeted some interesting pictures earlier today. In the first, he mentioned that Aaron was with the pilot’s director (Russell Fines) at the house the television series would be based in. Look at that view, overlooking the Pacific! Along with the second picture, Daniel tweeted “rehearsal again.” With this information, can we assume that the new show will start filming soon — perhaps before Aaron returns to the UK to shoot Les Mis? We’ll see!
News has been pretty quiet recently, so how about some pictures to fill the void? I’ve just added fifteen more production photographs from Calvin Berger to the gallery! They’re extremely high-quality images from a small musical Aaron Tveit did back in 2007. Many thanks to a dear friend who pointed them out to me. (There are a few new headshots, too.) Enjoy!
Aaron Tveit Fan has a whole new look, courtesy of the incredibly talented Flor at Sweet Revelation! She’s been so patient with my and my orders, but I’m thankful for it because of her amazing skills as a designer. I feel like the new theme has a bit of a baseball feel, no? Be sure to check out the new layouts over at the Gallery and on ATF’s Twitter as well.
